Erick Valderrama, President
Erick has been involved in the construction industry for the last 25 years, working on numerous notable construction and development projects in South Florida. His diverse understanding of the design related fundamentals of construction coupled with his operational knowledge of current construction practices has proven to be the foundation for his success
Erick began his professional career as a civil engineer at an engineering design firm where he performed design and inspections in both horizontal and vertical construction. Having the desire to be part of the physical project development process, he moved on to work in commercial construction with a national firm and later the development industry where he has completed multiple successful projects.
He has developed big picture risk management skills, and is deeply familiar with industry practices, the contractor and subcontractor market, along with governmental approvals. Having managed many large-scale projects, Erick has had leadership roles formulating and executing building division growth plans for corporations, overseeing operations, pre-construction, and cost control/finance risk management.
Erick has also successfully managed residential apartment, condominium, adult living, student housing and affordable housing units. His experience includes office buildings, sports facilities, municipal, transportation, and educational related projects throughout South Florida. Erick recognizes safety as a top priority and enforces an established safety program requiring all employees to be OSHA certified.
He is actively engaged in the South Florida community. He is an Executive Board member and President-Elect of the Latin Builders Association (LBA), the largest Latino construction and real estate professional association in the U. S., a Florida International University Presidents Council Executive Board member, a Miami-Dade Urban Expansion Area Task Force member, and a former Board member of Miami-Dade County Community Affordable Housing Strategies Alliance and Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce. Last year, Erick was named to the board of the LBA Charter Academy High School, the first charter high school in the United States managed by a business association.
Erick was born and raised in Miami, and is a proud alumni of Christopher Columbus High School.
