Erick Valderrama, President
Erick Valderrama is a South Florida real estate developer and construction professional with more than three decades of experience across every phase of the built environment—from civil engineering and structural design to high-rise construction management and ground-up multifamily development. As founder and principal of CDC Group & Associates, Inc., he brings the rare combination of technical depth and development leadership to every project he oversees.
Erick began his career in the field, working through construction trades, engineering design, and complex infrastructure projects. He then spent almost two decades advancing through senior and executive roles at nationally recognized construction management firms, building expertise in large-scale high-rise residential, luxury hospitality, collegiate facilities, public infrastructure, and commercial office construction across South Florida.
His transition into real estate development was a natural evolution of that operational expertise. Today, Erick serves as the development principal and owner's representative for capital partners pursuing ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, and high-end luxury SFR projects in South Florida. He manages the full project lifecycle—land identification, entitlement, predevelopment, design, permitting, construction oversight, and final turnover—ensuring that every investment is backed by rigorous execution discipline and transparent stakeholder communication.
Having managed both the contractor side and the owner's side of complex projects, he brings a uniquely grounded perspective to quality development and capital deployment—one that translates directly into tighter cost control, proactive risk management, and consistent schedule adherence. His track record delivering ground-up multifamily projects in competitive South Florida submarkets is backed by deep relationships with regional lenders, architects, engineers, contractors, and municipal officials cultivated over three decades.
Erick holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Florida International University, a Florida State Certified General Contractor license, a Florida Licensed Real Estate Agent, and a Florida Board of Professional Engineers Certified Engineering Intern designation. He is a past president of the Latin Builders Association, Chair-Elect of the FIU President's Council, a U.S. Small Business Administration Regional Regulatory Fairness Board Member for Region 4, and an alumnus of Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami.
Erick, a thought leader passionate about civic engagement and the positive impact of education, has been appointed to several of the most respected positions in the South Florida Community.
